Grab your epic prom outfit (80s-inspired of course)\, tease that hair\, layer on the blush\, and get your dancing shoes on for a totally tubular night out! DJ Kushmin will be spinning the hottest 80s hits all party long\, so avoid disappointment by getting your tickets now before they sell out (no duh!). \nAdmission includes appetizers\, a retro photo booth\, a 360 photo station\, coat check\, and access to explore all current exhibitions including Dressed to Impress: Footwear and Consumerism in the 1980s. DESCRIPTION:Spend your Family Day with us decorating your own mini wooden clog. Learn about the history of clogs and how they became such a widely known and adored shoe. Take a self-guided tour of our current exhibitions\, have some family fun in the Try-On Shoes area\, and play iSpy around the museum with our exhibition-themed activity cards available at Visitor Services. All materials and guided instruction are included. Space and quantities are limited\, so be sure to come early. \nClog Painting is available on a first-come\, first-serve basis. Participation in this activity is free with general admission.

We’ve teamed up with the The Bentway to offer activities for the whole family that celebrate the history of skating\, inspired by our online exhibition Boots and Blades: The Story of Canadian Figure Skating. Learn about figure skating in Canada from the 1600s to present through an interactive scavenger hunt with a tasty treat at the end. Gear up for the skate trail by decorating your own skate boot covers at the free Boots & Blades Workshop – drop in anytime between 12:00pm – 3:00pm.  \nSee full schedule here.
