Who says you can’t touch at the Museum!

Enhance your visit with multisensory and tactile experiences through our Hands-on collection. Visitors will get to examine objects up close while experienced guides explain the fascinating stories behind the shoes.

During Black History Month, learn about the invention of the lasting machine by Jan Ernst Matzeliger, hold a pair of Timberlands made for Shaquille O’Neal, and examine a pair of crocheted sneakers by Nigel John.

Every Saturday from 11am to 3pm. Please note this is a drop-in activity, no registration is required.
